Agenda:

Old Business
Reflect upon the start of the school year (21st C & Technology):
Positive

The word reflection has been heard more than in the past throughoout the building.
I can statements are everywhere.
People jumpimg in with the SmartBoards--Not afraid to try
Lots of helpdesking
Sharing and collaboration of ideas and techniques
Parent Information Night--Parents got to touch it, Positive Feed Back
People went to trainings and more coming

Jason found money for the majority of the SmartBoards. PTO is holdiinng money--33,000 into District Barrington Technology Account--Projectors for the gym and Cafeteria. Jason has requested document cameras for classrooms--maybe Christmas time. (This is to be a surprise--don't share.) There is self directed video training on the Moodlle. Music and Art did not get sound so that will be covered. Sound is being worked on for the Gym.
Another 2011-2012 Tech Budget--Operation Tech Money for stuff and Ed Tech Money for PD
One more SmartBoard needed for Library.
Areas of Opportunity:
We can't start school without our equipment in working order--preferable two weeks before school. The reality we have to get ready for our classes and open houses. We need the image, the computer and the printer working for the teacher computers. Can add printers be added to the image?
What is the SmartBoard giving me that I can't get any other way. How can I use it more efficiently?
Checks and balances for the computer images--Computers need to be tested for glitches.
Computer Lab Desks need to be lowered--Jason will work order
